A number of manufacturers have been looking into using other materials, such as bamboo, for computer equipment.
The Chinese manufacturer Jiangqiao Bamboo and Wood has created a keyboard made of bamboo (see also this blog entry). The frame and buttons are made of bamboo, which distinguishes this keyboard from others such as this one where the buttons are not made of bamboo.
Asus has created the Eco Book, a notebook with a bamboo finish. But sadly all the news related to this notebook (see also the Softpedia article, the Gadgets Weblog post and the Engadgets post) dates back to 2007 and 2008.
